Effect of high‐density current electropulsing on corrosion cracking of titanium aluminide intermetallic

The effect of electropulsing on the corrosion cracking titanium aluminide produced by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis has been investigated. treatment led to improved resistance in sodium fluoride solution and also eliminated at α2/γ interface during a nitric hydrofluoric acids. This behavior was attributed thermal athermal effects resulting from leading interaction conduction electrons with defect structure. magnetic field accompanying electropusling depinning dislocations discussed. Support for this is provided basis X-ray diffraction analysis microhardness testing.
